Planning ahead with your November 2026 Social Media Content Calendar is a great way to keep your social channels ticking over without having to come up with something new every morning.
November is here, which means the Christmas countdown is officially getting harder to ignore. The shops are full of festive decorations, everyone’s talking about Black Friday, and we’re all pretending we haven’t already started thinking about the Christmas break. Ho ho ho, not long to go!
But before we get completely distracted by mince pies, there’s plenty happening this month to inspire your social media content.
From spreading a little kindness and celebrating the talents in your team to supporting small businesses and protecting yourself online, November has given us some good ones.
And, of course, there’s a day dedicated entirely to cake.
Here are a few of our favourites!
13th November: International Day of Kindness 💚
A little kindness goes a long way.
International Day of Kindness is a lovely reminder that sometimes the simplest gestures can make the biggest difference.
And that applies to business too.
Whether it’s a thoughtful customer review, a colleague who’s gone above and beyond or a local business that’s always happy to help, there are plenty of opportunities to spread a bit of positivity on your social channels.
Why not use the day to give someone a well-deserved shout-out?
Share a brilliant customer experience, introduce a team member who deserves some recognition or highlight another small business doing great things.
At Koala HQ, we’re big believers in building good relationships. After all, marketing isn’t just about getting your business in front of people. It’s about making genuine connections with them.
And sometimes, a simple thank you is all it takes.
24th November: Celebrate Your Unique Talent Day 🎨
They say everyone’s got a hidden talent!
Some are genuinely impressive. Others are probably best kept away from the office Christmas party…
Celebrate Your Unique Talent Day is the perfect excuse to introduce the people behind your business and show your audience something they wouldn’t normally see.
Maybe you’ve got someone in the office who can speak five languages, a colleague who makes incredible cakes or a team member with a surprisingly good party trick.
Now’s their time to shine!
You could create a short Reel showcasing everyone’s hidden talents, run a team competition or ask your followers to share their own unusual skills.
It’s also a great opportunity to highlight the talents that make your business what it is.
At Koala, we’ve got a team of creatives, designers and digital marketing specialists, all bringing something different to the table.
Because behind every business is a group of people with their own personalities, skills and questionable hidden talents.
And those are the things that can make your social media content much more interesting.
If you’re struggling to find the time to capture those behind-the-scenes moments, our Social Media Content Creation & Management team can help turn everyday moments into engaging content for your business.
26th November: National Cake Day 🎂
Finally, an awareness day we can really get behind!
National Cake Day is exactly what it sounds like.
A whole day dedicated to cake, nom nom nom.
We’re not going to pretend there’s some complicated marketing strategy behind this one. Sometimes, you just need an excuse to bring cake into the office. Ideally, every day.
But it’s also a brilliant opportunity for some fun, personality-led social content.
Bakeries and cafés can showcase their creations, offices can organise a team bake-off, and pretty much any business can start a very important debate.
Chocolate cake or Victoria sponge? Chocolate, obviously!
You could even ask your followers to vote for their favourite, share a behind-the-scenes video of the office cake selection or introduce your team through their preferred slice.
These little interactions might seem simple, but they help make your brand feel more approachable.
Not every social media post needs to sell something.
Sometimes, it’s just nice to have a bit of fun.
Especially when there’s cake involved!
28th November: Small Business Saturday 🛍️
Now here’s an important one.
Small Business Saturday falls on 28th November in the US this year, encouraging people to support independent businesses during one of the busiest shopping weekends of the year.
Here in the UK, our own Small Business Saturday takes place in December, but that doesn’t mean we can’t get involved in November too!
For small businesses, social media can be a brilliant way to reach new customers, build relationships and remind people why shopping small matters.
And you don’t need a massive advertising budget to make an impact.
Share the story behind your business, introduce your team, showcase your products or services or explain what makes you different from the bigger names.
If you’re a service-based business, you could share a recent project you’re proud of or a lovely bit of feedback from a customer.
You could also use the day to support other independent businesses in your area.
We’re based in Colchester, so we know how important our local business community is. A simple recommendation or shout-out can make a real difference.
And if you’re running a small business where social media keeps slipping to the bottom of the to-do list, we can help with that too.
Our Social Media Content Creation & Management services help businesses stay visible online with content that’s planned, created and managed around their brand.
Because running a business is already a full-time job.
Your social media shouldn’t have to become another one.
30th November: National Computer Security Day 🔐
Right, time for something a little more serious.
National Computer Security Day might not sound like the most exciting date on the calendar, but it’s certainly an important one.
Especially when so much of our working lives happens online.
From websites and emails to social media accounts and customer information, businesses rely on digital platforms every single day.
And unfortunately, cybercriminals know that too.
For businesses, this is a great opportunity to share some practical advice with your audience.
Remind followers to use strong passwords, turn on two-factor authentication and be cautious about suspicious messages and links.
You could also share a quick checklist of things businesses should review to keep their social media accounts secure.
Because imagine spending months building your social media following, only to lose access to your account because someone thought ‘Password123’ was a perfectly reasonable choice.
Not ideal.
It’s a good reminder that looking after your online presence isn’t just about creating content and gaining followers.
It’s also about protecting what you’ve worked hard to build.
And if this has reminded you that half the office is still sharing the same login details, perhaps it’s time for a little security review.
And if you’re not entirely sure how secure your business really is, our friends over at TechWyse know a thing or two about keeping businesses protected online.
From identifying potential security risks to helping safeguard your systems and data, their cyber security services can help give you one less thing to worry about. Because the only surprises your business needs are the nice ones!
