If you’re looking for a Social Media Content Calendar July 2026, you’ve come to the right place.

July is rolling around fast, it’s been sunny (mostly), and we absolutely love it. We’re balancing a work-hard-play-hard mentality with our annual beach day sprinkled in, the occasional after-work cocktail on a Thursday and trying to keep our content calendar scheduled ahead of time!

Whether you’re looking to stay ahead or you’re reading this halfway through the month while scrambling around for content ideas, we’ve got your back.

This month is packed with awareness days that are perfect for sparking ideas, boosting engagement and showing off your brand’s personality. From International Reggae Day, which should get everyone reaching for their favourite playlist, to National Workaholics Day, which may remind you of someone in your office (we’re not mentioning any names), there are plenty of opportunities to create content that people will actually want to see in their feeds.

The best thing about having a Social Media Content Calendar July 2026 ready to go is that it takes away that horrible feeling of staring at a blank screen, wondering what to post. We’ve all been there. The good news is that July gives you plenty to work with!

Here are some of our favourite dates from our Social Media Content Calendar July 2026 and how you can make them work for your business.

International Reggae Day – 1st July

What better way to start the month than with some good vibes?

Whether you’re a die-hard reggae fan, a lover of old-school classics or someone who still has the same playlist they’ve been listening to for the last ten years, music has a funny way of bringing people together.

This is a great opportunity to ask your audience what’s currently on repeat, share your team’s favourite songs or reveal the office playlist, no judgement from us!

These sorts of posts are simple, fun and easy for people to engage with. Sometimes that’s exactly what social media should be.

National Workaholics Day – 5th July

This one feels a little too close to home.

You know the person.

They answer emails before they’ve even had breakfast.

They say they’re taking a day off but somehow end up checking their inbox every twenty minutes.

They take their laptop on holiday “just in case”.

In fact, if you’re reading this while sitting by a pool and pretending you’re not working, we’re probably talking about you.

National Workaholics Day is the perfect chance to have a bit of fun with your audience.

You could create a poll asking:

  •  Have you ever replied to an email from bed?
  • Have you ever worked through lunch?
  • Have you ever opened your laptop while on annual leave?

If you’re nodding along to all three, it might be time to step away from the keyboard for at least five minutes!

National Workaholics Day is all about having a bit of fun and recognising that most business owners wear a lot of hats. From answering emails and managing staff to juggling social media and keeping customers happy, there’s always something that needs doing.

So if you do find yourself checking your inbox while the kettle’s boiling or replying to an email from the garden, don’t worry. You’re definitely not the only one.

International Be a Kid Again Day – 8th July

Remember when summer felt endless, and your biggest concern was whether your Tamagotchi was still alive?

Those were the days.

International Be a Kid Again Day is a brilliant opportunity to show the human side of your business. Share old photos of the team, ask people what they wanted to be when they grew up or start a conversation about favourite childhood memories.

Some of the best-performing content isn’t the most polished or carefully crafted. It’s the content that makes people smile.

A little nostalgia goes a long way.

National Simplicity Day – 12th July

If we could give one piece of marketing advice to businesses, it would probably be this.

Stop overcomplicating things.

You don’t need to be on every social media platform.

You don’t need to use every marketing buzzword you’ve ever heard.

You definitely don’t need a social media post that reads like a university dissertation.

National Simplicity Day is a great reminder that clear, straightforward communication usually works best.

Simple sells. Simple connects. Simple gets remembered.

International Give Something Away Day – 15th July

Let’s be honest, everybody loves a freebie.

Whether it’s a giveaway, a free consultation, a downloadable guide or simply sharing some useful advice, this awareness day is all about giving something back.

The best bit is that it doesn’t have to cost a fortune.

People appreciate businesses that are generous with their knowledge and expertise. Sometimes a helpful tip can be just as valuable as a prize.

World Emoji Day – 17th July

As social media managers, this is basically our Christmas.

Well, almost.

Love them or hate them, emojis have become part of everyday communication online.

World Emoji Day is a fantastic excuse to create some interactive content. Ask people to describe their business using only emojis or challenge them to guess your service from a string of emoji clues.

You’ll be amazed at how competitive people get.

Also, if anyone can explain why 😂 became the universal response to absolutely everything, we’d love to hear your thoughts.

International Chess Day – 20th July

At first glance, chess and social media don’t seem to have much in common.

Stick with us.

The businesses that always seem organised, consistently show up online, and never appear to run out of content ideas aren’t just making it up as they go along.

They’ve got a plan.

That’s exactly why having a Social Media Content Calendar July 2026 can make such a difference. It helps you think ahead, stay consistent and avoid those last-minute content panics.

Not every post is going to go viral, and that’s okay.

The goal is simply to keep showing up.

In the meantime, we’ll be over here planning our next beach day, debating the office playlist and pretending we’re definitely not the people National Workaholics Day was written about.

Looking for more content ideas?

The dates above are some of our favourites from our Social Media Content Calendar July 2026, but there are plenty more awareness days to explore. For additional inspiration, websites such as Awareness Days are a great resource for finding upcoming events and themed days that could be relevant to your business. Just remember to focus on the ones that genuinely fit your brand rather than trying to jump on every trend.
