Essex marketing agency Carlana Marketing would like to thank all of its employees, clients and friends as they celebrate their 3rd Anniversary!!
It has been a long journey (and not always an easy one lol), but in February 2020 Carlana Marketing entered into its 4th year of trading. Statistically 20% of small businesses fail in their first year, 30% in year three and 50% after year five. So they are very proud that not only are they surviving, they are thriving!
Essex marketing agency Carlana Marketing started out as a dream for two friends, Carla Beard and Ehlana Foley, many years ago. They met while working for a marketing agency, and often joked that one day they would work for themselves.
Whilst travelling on a train (after a meeting with a large corporate client), Carla looked at Lana and said “when are we going to start Carlana then?”. A year to the day after this meeting Carla handed in her notice, Lana followed suit a week later and Carlana Marketing was born.
The name Carlana itself is a blend of Carla and Lana, but in a twist of fate it transpired that the word Carlana has more meaning. Carla’s mum discovered that the word Carlana means “free man” in Old Germanic…quite apt considering the freedom launching their own company gave Carla and Lana! This inspired the girls to use the fawohodie symbol as their company logo, as this stands for freedom and independence.
Over the last three years Carlana Marketing are proud to have worked clients such as; Lenz Security, Invent Architecture & Design, Sash & Veil, Deliveroo, The Daily Express, Regent Street Records, easyPR, 1st Homes, Gas Flex Systems, County Marquees East Anglia and The Daily Star. The last three years have flown by, and Carlana Marketing are very much looking forward to the next three years, and beyond! Carla had this to say “Setting up Carlana with Lana was the best decision I’ve ever made. Being in charge of our company has allowed us to be creative, pushed us into areas outside our comfort zone and the learning possibilities have been endless. One of the best things about being your own boss and being a business owner is that overwhelming feeling of satisfaction and accomplishment.” Lana added “What can I say? I absolutely love the freedom of working for myself. Carla & I, we are the same but different. Having someone to bounce ideas off and help you get through the day makes all the difference. Now having a full team behind us to support us really makes it even more surreal.
